One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jug, Stamped "GOODWIN & WEBSTER," Hartford, CT origin, circa 1815, ovoid jug with rounded foot and tooled spout, decorated with cobalt highlights over the maker's mark and at the ends of handle. 1 1/2" stone ping at base. Three other small stone pings at midsection. Spout chips. Base chips. 4 1/2" hairline extending up from base on reverse, between two other very short lines. H 12".
