Three-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Crock, probably NJ origin, circa 1875, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with three brushed cobalt daubs surrounding a "3". Light flaking to reverse and underneath one handle. Light wear to one handle. Short hairlines at base extending a short distance onto underside. Chips to interior of rim. 2 1/2" hairline from rim on reverse. H 11".
