Two Stripe-Decorated Stoneware Canning Jars, Western PA origin, circa 1875, cylindrical jars with tooled shoulder and "wax sealer" rims, decorated with brushed cobalt stripes. Four-stripe jar with large rim chip, wear to inner rim, two base chips, and small contact marks to side. Three-stripe jar with numerous spidering cracks, chips to interior of rim, and a base chip on reverse. H (of both jars) 6 3/8".
