Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Pitcher with Incised Name, probably NY State origin, circa 1850 squat-shaped ovoid pitcher with tooled midsection and squared rim, decorated with cobalt vine designs surrounding the number "2". A faintly-incised name, perhaps "George," appears on the front. Handle decorated with cobalt brushwork. Two spout chips. Two small chips on interior of rim. A few small base chips. H 12".
