Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Floral Decoration, Stamped "CORTLAND," New York State origin, circa 1867-1869, cylindrical jar with lug handles, and slightly-flared rim, decorated with a large brushed cobalt tulip beside a "2." Includes wooden dasher and a churn lid composed of tin and wood. Provenance: Lynn White Collection, Readfield, ME. Excellent condition with a chip on interior of rim, as well as some expected small chip on interior ledge where a lid would rest. H (excluding dasher and lid) 10 3/4".
