Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "CORTLAND," New York State origin, circa 1867-1869, cylindrical jar with rounded shoulder, flaring rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed and brushed design of two tulips extending from a leafy stem. Provenance: Lynn White Collection, Readfield, ME. Minor fry to cobalt. Faint line on right side of jar. Heavy wear to inner ledge where a lid would rest. H 11".
