Two-Gallon Newark, NJ Stoneware Advertising Jug, Stamped "UNION POTTERY / NEWARK, N.J. / J. ZIPF PROP'R.," circa 1880, cylindrical jug with sloped shoulder and short rounded spout, decorated with the slip-trailed cobalt advertising " Heller. &. Katz. / Newark. N.J." Dryness and wear to surface. Section of handle reglued. Fry to cobalt. Stone ping at base. H 14 1/2".
