One-and-a-Half-Gallon Stoneware Jar, Stamped "UNION POTTERY / NEWARK, N.J. / J. ZIPF. Prop'r," circa 1880, semi-ovoid jar with rounded shoulder and semi-squared rim, decorated with a slip-trailed cobalt floral design with looping stem. Marked "1 1/2" G." in cobalt script. Fry to cobalt. Two large spout flakes and one smaller spout flake. Expected wear on interior where a lid would rest. H 10 3/4".
