Rare One-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Cross and Floral Decoration, Strasburg, VA origin, circa 1880, semi-ovoid pitcher with flared base and collar, decorated on the spout with an unusual design of a cross within a border, flanked by flowers on the collar. The body of the pitcher is decorated with an unusual design of several hanging flowers. Impressed "1" below rim. Base chips. Otherwise mint condition. H 11".
