Three-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "WHITES UTICA," New York State origin, circa 1870, cylindrical jug with sloped shoulder and semi-rounded spout, decorated with an elaborate brushed cobalt flowering plant design. Provenance: Lynn White Collection, Readfield, ME. Large spout chip and small spout chip. Small base chips on reverse. A few in-the-firing contact marks on left side of jug. H 14 1/4".
