Molded Whites Utica Stoneware Bean Pot with Lid, NY State origin, late 19th century, ovoid form featuring the raised inscriptions "SPIRIT OF 76 / BUNKER HILL" and "BOSTON THE HOME / OF THE BEAN." Lid with raised floral decoration. Surface of pot and lid with cobalt highlights. Near mint condition with a minor chip to underside of lid. H (including lid) 6 1/2".
