Manganese-Decorated Redware Bowl, probably New England origin, early 19th century, with rounded foot and flattened rim, decorated on interior, exterior, and rim with daubs of manganese under a clear lead glaze. 4 1/2" crack from rim. Rim chips. A 2" Y-shaped hairline, visible on exterior only. Small flakes and light wear to interior. Two very minor base nicks. H 4" ; D 10 3/4".
