Stoneware Canning Jar with Stenciled Floral Decoration and Tin Lid, Western PA origin, circa 1875, cylindrical jar with wax sealer rim, decorated with a stenciled cobalt design of a flowering plant. Includes antique tin lid. Provenance: Tom McCandless Collection, Hopewell, NJ. Heavy chipping to rim. Glazed-over base chip. In-the-firing contact mark at base. H 6 3/8".
