Three-Gallon Stoneware Cake Crock with Cobalt Swag Decoration, attributed to David Parr, Richmond, VA, circa 1865, low-walled, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, squared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with two large groups of brushed swags on the front and back. Three thin cracks from rim. Small rim chips. Sealed V-shaped crack on underside, extending around much of base area. H 8 3/4" ; Diameter 11 7/8".
