Two Stoneware Jars, Stamped "S.H. SONNER / STRASBURG, VA," circa 1870, a cylindrical half-gallon jar, paired with a one-and-a-half-gallon cream jar, both bearing a Samuel Sonner mark. Half-gallon jar with two vertical hairlines and two small rim chips. Larger jar with X-shaped crack on underside, part of which extends up front 7", and other sections which extend a short distance onto base. Larger jar also has two rim chips. H (of half-gallon jar) 7 5/8".
