Two-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "HAXSTUN & CO. / FORT EDWARD, N.Y.," circa 1880, cylindrical crock with applied lug handles, decorted with a large slip-trailed cobalt bird with crest perched on a leaf. Hairlines in underside. Rim chip. 6 1/4" crack from rim on reverse. Small Y-shaped hairline under one handle. H 9".
