Extremely Rare One-Gallon Reisterstown, MD Stoneware Advertising Jar, Stamped "P. HERRMANN," Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1875, cylindrical jar with squared rim, impressed with the cobalt-highlighted advertising "FROM / RUSSEL & BRO / DEALERS IN DRY GOODS / GROCERIES & C / REISTERSTOWN, MD." One of the rarest examples of Baltimore advertising stoneware we have seen. A few minor and very faint lines in underside. Two very small nicks on top of rim. H 9 1/2".
