Two-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1840, thin-walled ovoid pitcher with tooled shoulder, decorated around its circumference with brushed cobalt leaves and flowers. Cobalt swag decoration around collar. Exceptionally vibrant color and desirable large size. Excellent, as-made condition with a recessed contact mark on right side of pitcher's front and an additional contact mark on left side of pitcher. H 13 1/8".
