Scarce Half-Gallon Pittsburgh, PA Stoneware Advertising Jug, circa 1875, semi-ovoid jug with tooled spout, decorated with the stenciled cobalt advertising "W.G. GUNDELFINGER / WHOLESALE / DEALER IN / RYE & BOURBON / WHISKIES, BRANDIES & C. / 158 STEUBEN STREET / PITTSBURGH. W.H." Desirable small-sized jug with elaborate stenciling. Excellent, as-made condition with stacker marks to shoulder. H 9 3/8".
