Four-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jug, Stamped "WEST TROY / N.Y. / POTTERY," circa 1870, large cylindrical jug with sloped shoulder and tall spout, decorated with a stylized cobalt foliate design. Small drilled hole at base. Two small stone pings and small firing flaw to surface. 3/4" salt drip to midsection. 1 3/4" thin line-shaped contact mark to reverse. Minor spout chip. H 17 1/4".
