Price Realized: $57.50 ($50 hammer, plus 15% buyer's premium).
Bowery, NY Stoneware Script Jug, New York State origin, circa 1875, cylindrical jug with sloped shoulder and squared spout, decorated with the slip-trailed cobalt advertising "Steinhardt Bros. & Co. / 313 Bowery. / N.Y." Cobalt band below spout. Large loss and hairline to spout. Jug is misshapen and there are firing flaws at the base on the front and covering much of reverse. H 14".
