Two Pieces of Stoneware, Mid-Atlantic origin, circa 1880, a Baltimore stoneware cream jar with clover decoration, paired with a two-gallon crock with swags, attributed to R.J. Grier of Chester Co., PA. Cream jar with glazed-over rim chip and additional chip on top of rim. Also a sealed hairline from rim and a sealed wedge-shaped crack with additional crack extending from it. Cream jar also with hairlines on underside, one of which extends onto base. Two-gallon crock with rim chips and cracks in underside, extending up and partway around base. H 7 1/4".
