Two-Gallon Stoneware Cake Crock with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1870, wide, cylindrical crock with semi-squared rim and applied tab handles, cobalt-decorated on the front and back with swags flanking a fan-shaped flower. Provenance: From a thirty-year Virginia collection. Professionally restored rim chip and Y-shaped crack from rim. A second professional restoration to a vertical crack or separation, which was only visible on the interior. H 6 3/8" ; Diameter 12".
