Scarce Salt-Glazed Stoneware Canning Jar, Stamped "H.H. ZIGLER / NEWVILLE, PA," circa 1855, cylindrical jar with rounded shoulder and flaring rim, impressed with an inverted Zigler mark on the shoulder. As-made condition with a glazed-over rim chip and stacker marks on shoulder. H 9 1/4".
