Scarce One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Incised Flower Blossom Decoration, Stamped "GOODWIN & WEBSTER," Hartford, CT origin, circa 1810, finely-potted jug with highly ovoid form and heavily-ribbed spout, decorated with an incised flower blossom highlighted in bright cobalt slip. Desirable decoration and small size. 1 5/8" contact mark on front. Glazed-over base chip. Minor flake on underside. H 12".
