Stoneware Cream Jar with Cobalt Tulip Decoration, attributed to D.P. Shenfelder, Reading, PA, circa 1870, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and flattened rim, decorated with a large brushed cobalt tulip design. 2 3/4" Y-shaped hairline on underside, extending 2" up wall of jar. Some fry to cobalt. Minor base chip. H 8 1/4".
