Rare Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stamped "J. CAMPBELL / UTICA," New York State origin, circa 1823-1829, ovoid jar with tall collar and applied lug handles, decorated with a brushed cobalt flower with curving stem. Rim chips. 2" hairline from rim. 1 1/2" x 1/8" in-the-firing separation from rim above one handle. H 10 1/2".
