Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jar, attributed to Dave the Slave, Lewis Miles' Stoney Bluff Manufactory, Edgefield District, SC, circa 1855, ovoid jar with rounded rim and applied tab handles, covered in a brown alkaline glaze. Provenance: Stephen Ferrell. Includes a letter of authenticity by Stephen Ferrell. Restoration around midsection. Nick to one handle. H 13 1/8".
