One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Pitcher, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1860, ovoid-bodied pitcher with pronounced foot and tooled rim, decorated with a brushed cobalt hanging flower motif on the front and swags to its left and right. Collar decorated with swags on each side as well as flanking the spout. Restoration to spout and 3" section of rim, including some of decoration. Restoration to horizontal crack at top of handle and restoration to lower handle terminal, with some touch-up to cobalt. Restoration to 5" section of foot. 4 1/4" hairline from rim. Contact mark on right side. H 10 1/2".
