Ovoid Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore MD origin, circa 1835, ovoid jar with squared rim, tooled shoulder, and ribbed lug handles, decorated on each side with a horizontal stem bearing leaves, two buds, and a large flower. Excellent color. Y-shaped hairline on underside, continuing 1 3/4" up base of jar. Faint spidering lines at base. Hairlines in rim and shoulder. Lines visible on interior, which are not visible on exterior. Small rim chips. H 12 1/2".
