Stoneware Wax Sealer with Stenciled Bird Decoration, Stenciled "HAMILTON & JONES / GREENSBORO . PA," circa 1875, tapered wax sealer with rounded rim, decorated with a flying bird holding a branch between the words "HAMILTON & JONES / GREENSBORO / PA." 1 3/8" and 1" base chips, which occurred in the firing. Small chips on interior of rim. Small X-shaped stone ping at base. H 10 1/4".
