Scarce Stoneware Canning Jar, Stenciled "A. CONRAD / NEW GENEVA / FAYETTE CO. / PA," circa 1875, tapered canning jar with wax sealer rim, decorated with scarce Alexander Conrad "FAYETTE CO" stenciling in bright cobalt. Dark cobalt stripe below rim. Shallow base chip. Tiny nick to shoulder molding. 1" chip and much smaller chip to inner wax sealer rim. 5/8" shallow rim chip, which probably occurred in the firing. H 8".
