Rare Three-Gallon Stoneware Cooler, attributed to David Parr, Jr., Richmond, VA, circa 1860, cylindrical vessel with flared rim, applied lug handles, and unusual elongated bung hole. Impressed with distinctive three-gallon capacity mark used by Parr during his tenure in Richmond. Unusual form for this maker. Includes antique wooden spigot. Faint line on interior, not visible on exterior. Small chip on exterior of rim. Stone ping on interior of rim. 2" faint line from rim on reverse. Some lines at base and on reverse. Small chip to bung hole. H 13 3/4".
