Rare Miniature Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Churn with Lid, Northeastern U.S. origin, mid 19th century, cylindrical vessel with tooled bands and large lug handles, decorated on the front and back with a brushed cobalt leaf design. Includes original stoneware lid brushed with cobalt over its entire surface, as well as a wooden dasher. Rim chip. In-the-firing dark discoloration on one side. Lid with very minor nick to opening. H (including lid) 4 1/2".
