Rare Three-Gallon Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jug with Glass Drips, Stamped "D H," Daniel Hartsoe, Lincoln County, NC, second half 19th century, finely-thrown, rotund jug with tooled spout and applied handle, covered in a greenish alkaline glaze and decorated with glass drips at the shoulder and extending from the handle. Impressed "D H" along with a horizontal "3" on shoulder. Near mint condition with some scratches to surface, and two in-the-firing horizontal lines in handle, which do not extend through to underside. H 14 1/2".
