Bristol Slip Glazed Stoneware Spaniel with Cobalt Decoration, Ohio origin, late 19th century, molded seated spaniel brush-decorated with heavy cobalt fur detail, facial features, and a locket and chain. One of the most elaborately-decorated examples of this style we have seen. Heavy chipping to base. In-the-firing separation near base on front, which does not extend through to interior. H 9 1/4".
