Rare Two-Gallon Stoneware Advertising Crock with Stenciled Horse Decoration, Stamped "W.H. WHEATON / DANICLSONVILLE CONN," attributed to Somerset Potters Works, Somerset, Massachusetts, circa 1875, cylindrical crock with rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a stenciled cobalt horse motif above a sponged cobalt ground. Good example of New England figural decoration. Chip on interior of rim. Otherwise mint condition. H 9 1/2".
