Ovoid Stoneware Jug with Rust Glaze, Stamped "CHARLESTOWN," Massachusetts origin, circa 1810, highly ovoid jug with reeded neck and ribbed handle, decorated with dipped rust glaze around the shoulder and base, and covered in a salt glaze. In-the-firing contact marks and kiln furniture remnants on front, reverse, side, and handle. In-the-firing spout chip with kiln furniture residue. Small base chip. H 10".
