Three-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Large Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "WEST TROY / N.Y. / POTTERY.," circa 1870, cylindrical crock with semi-squared rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a large slip-trailed cobalt bird-on-branch design. Rim chips. Additional wear around the interior of rim. Minor wear to one handle. Some flaking to areas at base. Significant flaking to underside. Scattered flaking to interior base. H 11".
