Wheeling, WV Stoneware Advertising Jar, Western PA origin, circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and rounded rim, decorated with freehand stripes, stenciled flourishes, and the advertising "From / B.J. SMYTH. / Grocer, / Wheeling / W. VA." 2 1/4" loss to rim on reverse with a 4" crack descending from it. H 9 1/2".
