Glazed Redware Jug, New England origin, possibly Gonic, NH, early to mid 19th century, ovoid jug with rounded foot, ribbed strap handle, and flattened spout, decorated with heavy manganese sponging over a green and orange-spotted ground. Particularly colorful light green hues to shoulder and handle. Surface covered in a clear lead glaze. 3/8" lamp wire hole drilled in underside. Small shallow spots of wear to spout. Small stone ping on handle. Base chips. H 8 1/2".
