Price Realized: $230.00 ($200 hammer, plus 15% buyer's premium).
Scarce Kentucky Stoneware Jar, Stenciled "LIMESTONE POTTERY / KEITH BRO'S / MAYSVILLE / KY," circa 1880, approximately two-gallon, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and squared rim, featuring "LIMESTONE POTTERY" stenciling in cobalt. Hairline in underside, extending 5 1/2" up front of jar. Approximately 5" spidering crack from rim with small sliver missing at shoulder. Two post-firing rim chips and one in-the-making rim chip. H 11 1/4".
