Rare Anna Pottery Stoneware Frog Mug, Incised "St. Louis Sinkhole Quail," attributed to Wallace and Cornwall Kirkpatrick, Anna, IL, circa 1880, cylindrical mug with applied strap handle and the molded figure of a frog with incised mouth on interior. Shoulder incised "St Louis Sinkhole Quail." Surface covered in an Albany slip glaze. A desirable and humorous Anna Pottery form. As-made condition with an in-the-firing drip mark to shoulder. H 3 1/8" ; Diameter 3 1/8".
