Three-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Bird on Stump Decoration, Ellenville or Poughkeepsie, NY origin, circa 1875, with tooled shoulder, semi-squared spout, and applied strap handle, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a long-tailed bird perched on a large tree stump. As-made condition with heavy fry to cobalt. H 15 1/2".
