Four-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Northeastern U.S. origin, circa 1875, straight-sided crock with applied lug handles, decorated with a folky design of a crested bird with dashed breast, perched on a stylized branch. Shallow chip to exterior of rim. Chips to interior of rim. Base chips. Minor base flaking. Stripe of staining on front. H 11 1/2".
