Four-Gallon Stoneware Jar Dated 1853 in Cobalt, Midwestern origin, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and applied lug handles, decorated with the brushed cobalt date "1853" followed by indecipherable letters or symbols. 7" hairline on reverse. Several small rim chips. H 14".
