Two One-Gallon Cobalt-Stenciled Stoneware Jars, WPA and WV, circa 1875, one decorated with cobalt stripes and the stenciled words "Jas. Hamilton / & Co. / Greensboro / Pa.," and another decorated with stenciled flourished and the stenciled words "RICHEY & HAMILTON / PALATINE / WVA." Staining to Greensboro jar and a few small stone pings. Palatine jar is stained with a sticky substance and has a 1 1/4" base chip. H (of Greensboro jar) 9 1/4".
