Scarce Huntington, WVA Advertising Stoneware Wax Sealer, Western PA origin, circa 1875, straight-sided wax sealer stenciled with the following advertising: "THE HUNTINGTON CO-OPERATIVE / SOCIETY / GROCERIES / & C. / 1009 THIRD AVENUE / HUNTINGTON W.VA." Desirable form and unusual advertising. Spidering crack extending from rim down right side of jar's front, and additional spidering lines from rim on the left side of jar. Some tiny chips on interior of rim. H 6 3/4".
