Two Pewter-Lidded Stoneware Mugs, Northeastern U.S., mid to late 19th century, one mug with incised and cobalt-filled bands, fitted with a pewter lid; paired with a second cobalt-banded stoneware mug with pewter lid having an eagle finial and the name "T Wahl" incised into its surface. Underside of lid incised with an indecipherable name and the date 1850. Taller mug in mint condition. Smaller mug has base chip and portion of lid broken at joint, causing it to separate from the handle. H (of smaller mug, including lid) 6 1/4".
