Rockingham-Glazed Shell Spittoon, Stamped "LYMAN & CO. / 1849," Bennington, VT. origin, molded spittoon with raised clamshell decoration, covered in a light brown Rockingham glaze. Impressed with "LYMAN & CO." maker's mark on underside. Light scratches to interior. Two in-the-firing touch marks and a glaze drip. H 2 1/2" ; Diameter 7 1/2".
